The GCNW program in Mandolin covers melodies, chords, rhythm, and reading, tremolo picking and more.
It is suitable for all levels of mandolin students, and we typically use the Hal Leonard Mandolin method. Once the student is proficient at melodies, chords ans strumming, other topics like improvisation and accompniment can be covered.
Genres that use mandolin are extensively explored (country, bluegrass. folk), and note-for-note transcriptions of famous mandolin parts learned, preparing the student for professional engagements, playing in groups, and session work.
